When at St. Richard’s Church or passing by on the way to your everyday activities, visit our “Prayer Tree” on the front lawn of the Church near the sacristy door. Step under the tree canopy, open the prayer tree box and write your thoughts, wishes and prayers on the enclosed white card. Slip the white card in the zip lock plastic sleeve being careful to seal the zip lock sleeve to protect your prayer from the weather and then hang it on the “Prayer Tree”. It has been said, prayers hung on a prayer tree will stay in place for years to come despite stormy weather conditions.
We especially invite you to bring the children of St. Richard’s as well as the surrounding area to the tree for prayer and reflection. The right side of the tree has a low area where the children can hang their prayers. Our “prayer tree” provides all of us the opportunity to express ourselves in a heartfelt and unique way.
